Why Heather loves this work

"Supporting the dynamics and interaction of all the threads that need to come together to create a successful business is incredibly rewarding." I enjoy challenging others to take themselves beyond where they are comfortable. When I feel clients stretch I know they are learning and growing. That inspires me to support them even more.

Experience

I have owned my own Businesses, and had hands on Practical experience as the Co-ordinator for the Mainstreet business association in New Plymouth, The Marketing Manager for the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, tutored Business Management, sat on the Board of Directors for the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, Retail Merchants Association and in Australia, The Noosaville Association. I have also supported my husband in three businesses and since 2000, supported business leaders through Growth and Change.

Why do I love working with Businesses and their teams?

Because people have their own answers and by asking relevant questions they gain great clarity around the issues, which means workable solutions come to them easily. This gives them confidence to take action.

By creating an environment of openness to ideas and discussion, I am able to build a culture where the team feels engaged. They achieve greater understanding of the vision and purpose of the company, so the energy of the  team is harnessed to produce a greater result.

In essence, it's about simplicity; goals, strategies, and tactics that everyone understands.

Business performance is about planning and ongoing measuring, making sure the team understand the goals, both financial and strategic . Then it'ss about supporting the team to achieve their their business and personal goals.

Being with people who are enjoying their businesses is immensely satisfying.

Personal

I've spent most of my life in Taranaki and now live in Wellingtonwhere our son Logan and his wife Liz live. Gary and I are still together after all these years and I love sport; cycling running and body building.
